Donald James Strauser

Donald James Strauser, 77, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully, Sunday, December 24, 2023, at his home, with loving family by his side.

He was born August 5, 1946 in Uniontown, a son of the late Harry Strauser and Annabell (Varndell) Strauser. Also preceding him in death were two sisters, Freda Warman and Deborah Strauser.

Donald was a member of Grace Community Church and North Union VFW Post 8543. He retired from the US Steel Clairton Works, loved hunting and was skilled at reloading his own ammunition. Donald was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon Lee (Trent) Strauser, five children, Harry Strauser (Rachel), of Uniontown, Donald Strauser (Janine), of Yukon, PA, Pete Strauser (Traci), of Connellsville, Amy Rose (Mark), of Mt. Pleasant, and Michele Strauser of Stow, Ohio, 19 grandchildren: Harry, John, Abi, Jocelyn, Ronnie, Donnie, Emmett, Andrew, Grace, Anna, Ari, Petey, Andy, Zach, Alayna, Mark, Austin, Brandon, and Shiloh and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA with the funeral service scheduled for Friday morning, December 29th, at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Brownfield, PA.
