Jerrold Douglas Rotruck

Jerrold Douglas Rotruck went to heaven peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 7 AM in his Smock, PA home. He was 64.

Born and raised in Kaiser, WV, Jerry was gentle, hard working and a genuine blessing to all who knew him. His life can be simply defined by his deep love for Jesus and his generosity toward everyone. Jerry’s life was filled with faith, family, laughter, hunting and countless creative projects. He was a loving husband and a true servant to others. Galatians 6:9 is the scripture on which Jerry based every aspect of his life; “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

Jerry was preceded in death by his father Andrew Rotruck and mother Pauline Pyles Rotruck.

He is survived by his loving wife Caryn Jane Allen Rotruck, six children: Jeremy Rotruck of Dearborn, Michigan, Michael Rotruck and wife Rachel of Granite City, Illinois, Tara Mendoza and husband Edgar of Waco, TX, Carly Rubio and husband Dan of Fishers, Indiana, Tiffany Smith and husband Matt of Uniontown, PA and Molly Howard and husband Michael of Hebron, KY, eleven loving grandchildren: Enrique, Douglas, Darrell, Troy, Jett, Levi, Audrey, Kelsie, Haley, Penelope and Lucy and a sister Delores Johnson of Harrisonburg, VA.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Sunday, November 12th, from 12:30 to 3 and 7 to 9 PM and on Monday, November 13th, in the Bible Baptist Church, 1 Evergreen Terrace Uniontown, PA until 11 AM the hour of service with Pastor Dale Redick officiating. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.
