Judy (McCormick) Layhue

Judy (McCormick) Layhue, 74, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 21, 2024. She was born November 15, 1949 in Uniontown.

Judy was predeceased by her parents, Louis F. and Violet (Franks) McCormick, husband, Gary Layhue, a brother, Louis Finley McCormick, and two sisters, Laura Cherban, and Janet Hardison.

Judy was a very loving and caring mother. Her two simple pleasures in life were sitting on her porch and her trips to the casinos.

Surviving is a daughter, Tricia Bowlen (Joseph), and two sisters: Nancy Lou Poli (Louis) of Uniontown, and Linda Golden of Brownfield, PA.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Saturday, February 24th, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 5:00 PM with Pastor Kenneth L. Jones officiating.

Interment will be private.

Her family would like to offer a special thanks to Lindsay, Joyce, and Crystal of Amedisys, and the Bella Healthcare Staff for the love they gave her. A special thanks to Chloe, her caregiver, and to Debbie for the wonderful meals she would prepare for Judy.
