Anthony Cody Giachetti

Anthony Cody Giachetti, 26 years of Uniontown, PA, passed away suddenly Tuesday, November 14, 2017. He was born June 19, 1991.

Anthony was the son of the late Angelo “Angie” Giachetti, who passed away February 17, 2017 and Marie Rogalinsky Giachetti. Also preceding him in death were his maternal grandparents, Frank and Margaret Rogalinsky and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Emily Giachetti.

Anthony was a 2009 graduate of Laurel Highlands High School where he played on the football and baseball teams. He attended Waynesburg College where he also played on the football team and had attended Westmoreland Community College. Anthony was a member of St. Therese Roman Catholic Church and was a Third Degree in the Knights of Columbus. He had been employed with Sims Flooring and Refinishing.

His parents and entire family were proud of him throughout his struggle with his addiction and his constant attempt to lead a clean and sober life.

Besides his mother Marie, Anthony is survived by his uncle Fred Giachetti, Jr. and wife Joanne, aunt Joyce Hughes and husband Bill, cousins, Gina Williams and husband Paul, Brian Giachetti, Brandon Hughes, Alexis Hughes, Brianna, Olivia, Chase, Cole and Ryan Williams and wife Allison, Tyler and Gianna Giachetti, Lou and Cathy Giachetti and many other loving cousins and friends and his two loving canine companions, Cheech and Mya.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Sunday, November 19th from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday, November 20th until 9:30 AM when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Therese RC Church, 51 Mill St., Uniontown, PA. Parish wake service will be at 4 PM on Sunday. November 19th. Interment will be private.
