Ronald Allen Freeland

Ronald Allen Freeland, 70, of Uniontown, PA, passed away Monday, April 1, 2024. He was born June 14, 1953 in Kingwood, WV. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Michael Arnold Freeland and Laura (Smiles) Freeland and a brother, Jerry Freeland.

Ronald was a member of the North Union VFW Post 8543. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather who enjoyed the simple things in life: cheering for the Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, cutting grass and shooting pool. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Surviving are three children, Becky Freeland, of Uniontown, Jason Freeland, of McKeesport, PA, and Eric Freeland, of Uniontown, four grandchildren, Devin, Courtney and Brittany Freeland and Alicia McLaughlin, a sister, Connie Higinbotham, of Elyria, OH, and a brother, Donald Smiles, of Morgantown, WV.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA Thursday, April 4th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Friday, April 5th, until 11 AM the hour of service with Pastor Michael Lyons officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
