Patrick J. Brownfield

Patrick J. Brownfield, 52 years of Uniontown, PA passed away peacefully Tuesday, September 11, 2018 with loving family by his side. His death followed a fight to recover from a brain injury suffered as a result of cardiac arrest.

Pat was born February 13, 1966 to Harry and Louise (Lally) Brownfield. Also preceding him in death was a brother Bill Blaker.

Pat married his high school sweetheart Christine Voytek in 1986 and proudly welcomed their son Scott in 1989.

Pat’s passion was construction. He often took on unwanted projects, enjoyed working outside, doing lawn care and gardening. He was a problem solver and deep thinker who spent many hours debating and solving problems with our good friend TJ.

His son Scott and daughter-in-law Cassandra (Miller) gave Pat his grandson Xander in 2017. Pat was so very proud of Scott, and Cassandra was more than Pat’s daughter-in-law. He loved her like she was his own daughter.

In addition to his wife Christine and son Scott, Pat is survived by his brother Don Blaker and wife Connie, sister-in-law Sharon Blaker, sister Nancy Malinowski and husband Mike, mother-in-law Elaine Voytek, sister-in-law Ann Detrick and husband Todd and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who he loved so much. He will also be greatly missed by his grand dog Freya who he shared a special bond with.

Through his illness, his special nieces Pam and Billie Jo were often by his side to make him smile and show him love. Pat loved the mountains, the Steelers, KISS, going to concerts and all music, but his favorite sound was his son playing the guitar. Pat enjoyed having all the important people in his life gathered together. He loved life and having fun. He was our DJ, grill master and advisor.

The family would like to thank Patty, Dan and Tina from the Manor and all the others who cared for Pat. He will be missed terribly by all who loved him.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Thursday, September 13th, from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Friday, September 14th, until 11 AM the hour of service with Pastor Charles O’Brien officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
