Cheryl Jean (Thomas) Skunda

Cheryl Jean (Thomas) Skunda, 72, of Hebron, Ohio, formerly of Smock, PA, passed away peacefully Friday, June 14, 2019. She was born February 17, 1947 in Smock, PA.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Albert Oran Thomas and Hazel (Havlichek) Thomas and a brother Alan Thomas.

Cheryl was a member of St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church, a schooled beautician and had previously worked at Anchor Hocking Corporation. She will be sadly missed by her family members and many friends in both Ohio and Pennsylvania.

Surviving are her beloved husband of fifty years, Robert Skunda, a sister who loved Cheryl dearly, Hazel Masi and husband Albert, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA Sunday, June 16th, from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday, June 17th, until 10:15 AM when a Panachida Service will be held followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 AM at St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church with Very Reverend Ronald P. Larko officiating. Interment will follow in St. John’s Byzantine Church Cemetery, Hopwood, PA. Parastis Service Sunday evening at 7:30 PM.
