Ruth Ann (Shaffer) Mankovich

Ruth Ann (Shaffer) Mankovich, 78 of Uniontown, PA passed away Thursday, February 28, 2019 at her residence. She was born September 20, 1940.

Preceding her in death were her parents, George Dewey and Mattie (Johnson) Shaffer, husband, Joseph Paul Mankovich, Jr. and nine siblings: Marie Grace, Shaffer, Barbara Sumey, Opal Kuhns and Clyde, Clarence Dale, Carl, Robert, Charles and Dewey Shaffer.

Ruth Ann was a member of St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church. She was a very loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Surviving are four children: Joseph P. Mankovich, III, Lisa Flenniken and husband William and Deborah “Debby” Mankovich-Hixon, all of Uniontown and Timothy E. Mankovich of Murraysville, PA, six grandchildren: Stephanie Flenniken, Davey and Daulton Hixon, Dillon Riggar and Charlotte and Maxwell Mankovich and a sister Dorothy Horvath of Uniontown.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA Sunday, March 3rd, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Monday, March 4th, until 9:30 AM when Prayers of Transfer will be said followed by a funeral Mass at 10 AM at St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church, North Mount Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA. Interment will follow in St. Mary (Nativity) Catholic Church Cemetery.

Parish Wake Service by the Lazarus Ministry will be Sunday, March 3rd, at 3 PM.
