Robert Lindsay Jones

Robert Lindsay Jones, 89 years of Uniontown, PA passed away peacefully Sunday, May 20, 2018 with loving family by his side. He was born May 31, 1928 in Uniontown.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Joseph W. Jones and Regina G. (McFarland) Jones, his loving wife Effie M. (Collins) Jones and a brother William W. Jones.

Robert was a graduate of Uniontown High School Class of 1948, a member of the Third Presbyterian Church for over 70 years, the John Knox Class, Laurel Lodge No. 651 F&AM and Uniontown Elks BPO Lodge #370. He had been employed by the Nestle Corporation, was a gifted drummer who played with various local jazz bands and the VFW Marching Band. Robert was an avid golfer who played in the Third Presbyterian Church Golf League and mentored the Junior Golf League at the Springdale Golf Course. He always enjoyed his family cabin in the mountains.

Surviving are three children, Robert William Jones and wife Diane of Farmington, Linda Valusek and husband Gary Valusek, Sr. of Uniontown and Regina Lynn Braham and husband David of Union, NJ, four grandchildren, Carrie DuPere and husband Ryan of Boston, MA, Gary Valusek, Jr. and wife Kaylie of Uniontown, Emily Braham of Pittsburgh and Jessica Braham of Union, NJ and a brother Richard G. Jones and wife Pat of Cranberry, PA.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, may 22nd from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, May 23rd until 11 AM the hour of service. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
