Freda Elizabeth (Michael) Kelly

Freda Elizabeth (Michael) Kelly, 85 years of Uniontown, PA passed away peacefully Monday, September 3, 2018. She was born May 29, 1933 in Uniontown.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Joseph Michael and Mary Elizabeth (Barkett) Michael, her husband Ellwood E. Kelly, Sr., a grandson, Christopher “Buffy” Kelly and three siblings, Dorothy Stoner, Rose Swartz and Michael Michael.

Freda was a member of St. George Maronite Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild and the Altar Society. She loved her church very much. Freda had worked as a beautician, a waitress and a nanny at times throughout her life. She enjoyed doing for others at every opportunity. Freda was a loving mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family members and many friends.

Surviving are five children: Sherry Pollick and husband Robert of Uniontown, Ellwood Kelly, Jr. and wife Patricia of McClellandtown, PA, , Mary E. Swaney and husband Donald of Uniontown, Sheila Perkins and husband Robert of Chestnut Ridge, PA. and Michael Kelly of Uniontown, nine grandchildren: , Donny, Justin, Sara, Maria, Mikie, Patrick, Brian, Adam and Ian, six great-grandchildren including a special great-grandchild, Maci and one great-great-grandson.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Thursday, September 6th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. On Friday, September 7th, a Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. George Maronite Catholic Church at 10 AM with Reverend Father El-Badaoui Habib as Celebrant. Interment will follow in LaFayette Memorial Park, Brier Hill, PA.

Parish Rosary will be held Thursday, September 6th, at 6:30 PM followed by the Prayer of Bakhour.
