Harriet Jane Hall King Horvath

Harriet Jane Hall King Horvath, 79 of Uniontown, PA passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born August 28, 1937 in Connellsville, PA.

Preceding her in death were her parents Stuart W. Hall and Ruth Eicher Schomer Hall, a son, Russell Thomas King, first husband Tom R. King, and a sister, Mary Louise Grimm.

Harriet had been a LPN formerly employed at the Uniontown Hospital and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She had a green thumb and raised beautiful plants and flowers, seemingly without effort. Harriet enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and camping.

Surviving are her husband Joseph L. Horvath, Sr., 5 children, Roy R. King and Richard L. King and wife Nancy, all of Connellsville, Scott D. King and wife Patty and Randy A. King all of Uniontown and Brenda Joyce Stillwagon and husband Tom of Greensburg, PA, 9 stepchildren, Carl Joseph Horvath and wife Patricia, Patricia Ann Rodgers, Joseph Lewis Horvath, Jr., John Horvath, Gerald Horvath, Alex Horvath, Nicholas G. Horvath and wife Tyna M. all of Uniontown, Vincent Horvath of Chicago, IL and Cathy Connor of Pittsburgh, PA, 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, Donna Yennerall of Uniontown for whom Harriet was legal guardian and her close friend Christina DeFrank.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA today, June 7th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Thursday, June 8th, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 308 McClellandtown Rd., Uniontown, from 10AM until 11 AM, the hour of service with Pastor Ron Hudson and Pastor Joe Ritz officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
