James G. Heinbaugh

James G. Heinbaugh, 80, of Hopwood, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday, June 29, 2024 with loving family by his side.

He was born September 9, 1943 in Hopwood. Preceding him in death were his parents, George William Heinbaugh, Sr. and Marie Frances (Works) Heinbaugh and a brother, George William Heinbaugh, Jr.

James was a graduate of South Union High School, served honorably in the US Army from 1964 to 1970, had worked at Hillman Barge and later was a landscaping business and craft shop owner in Hopwood. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and faithfully attended the Mens Fellowship Breakfasts. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who will be missed by his family and many friends.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Linda L. (Ellis) Heinbaugh, son, James G. Heinbaugh, Jr. (Lisa), of Murrysville, PA, daughter, Dawn L. VanVerth (Clayton), of Uniontown, nine grandchildren: Katelyn (Rain), George, Rebecca, Andrew (Deonna), Ryan, Adam, Sarah, Nathan, Lydia, and sister, Rochelle Ann McCormick (Ralph), of Germantown, TN.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA, on Sunday, July 7th, from 1 to 3 and 5 to 8 PM, and on Monday, July 8th, 9:30 to 10 AM the hour of service with Rev. Charles OBrien officiating. Interment will follow in Chalkhill Lutheran Cemetery, Chalkhill, PA.
