June (Miller) Glisan

June (Miller) Glisan, 85 years, Uniontown, Pa., passed away peacefully Sunday, January 7, 2018. She was born on Monday, August 29, 1932 in Fairchance, Pa.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Ewing M. Miller and Elsie (Doolittle) Miller; sister, Jean Miller Newton; four brothers, Charles Miller, Jay Miller, Robert Dale Miller, Raymond Miller.

June had been a self-employed business owner in the field of Clothing Sales and at one time worked for the E. W. Bowman Company. She had attended Great Bethel Baptist Church in Uniontown. June was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother whose great grandsons affectionately called "Gigi".

Surviving are her husband, Samuel Glisan; two daughters: Marla Kelly and husband Daniel of Fairchance, Pa., and Vicki G. Bortz and husband Paul of Boynton Beach, Florida; four grandchildren: Daniel Kelly and wife Kitsa of Annondale, Virginia, Sarah Simpson and husband Del and Paul Bortz Jr. and wife Kelley all of Uniontown, Pa., and Bradley Bortz and wife Elizabeth of Summers, Georgia; three great grandsons: Liam Kelly, Donovan Kelly, and Ronin Kelly; two great granddaughters: Noemi Bortz and Haley Gaydos; a sister, Patricia A. Miller of Fairchance, Pa.; sister-in-law, Bonnie Miller of Uniontown, Pa.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home Inc., 164 South Mount Vernon Avenue, Uniontown, Pa., on Thursday, January 11th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will begin at 1:00 PM. Pastor David Rasmussen will officiate. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of June be made to Fayette Friends of Animals, Post Office Box 1282, Uniontown, PA 15401.
