Gertrude Elaine (Olesko) Gallik

Gertrude Elaine (Olesko) Gallik, 89 years of Uniontown, PA passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 2, 2018 in the Uniontown Hospital. She was born September 13, 1928 in Uniontown, a daughter of the late John and Julia Olesko.

In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband Michael “Mickey” Gallik December 26, 1977, sisters Mary Sabik, Elizabeth Walsh, Margaret Duranko, Veronica Lopshire and Ann Costenic.

Gertrude was an active member of Community United Methodist Church, formerly woked at the Berkowitz Shirt Factory and truly enjoyed being a member of the Area Bingo Association. Her neighbors will miss her Christmas decorations and seeing her on the porch, as will her friends at Community UM Church.

Surviving are a niece, Debbie Kalich, a nephew, Mike Gallik, a niece Sharon Gudenius and many other nieces and nephews and friends Bobby, her constant helpmate, Nancy her caregiver, Joyce, Donna, Barb, Ruth, Kathy, Connie and Lisa.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Thursday, January 4th, from 4 to 6:30 PM. Services will begin at 6:30 PM with lay pastor Joyce Brant officiating. Private interment will be in St. Mary (Nativity) Cemetery.
