June (Harned) Burks

June (Harned) Burks, 93 years of Uniontown, PA passed away peacefully Friday, June 15, 2018 in the Cherry Tree Nursing Center. She was born July 20, 1924 in Uniontown.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her loving husband Warren E. Burks, April 13, 1995, a daughter Lana Jean Burks Crawford, a son-in-law Glenn Crawford and two brothers, “Dutch” Harned and Earl Harned.

June was a very faithful member of the Christ United Methodist Church where she graciously and lovingly contributed her time and energy as an expert cookie maker and skilled pie baker in support of church bake sales and bazaars. She was a member of the United Methodist Women and a loving grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are a grandson Daniel Crawford and wife Ann of Export, PA, two great-grandchildren, Ryan and Meagan Crawford, other family members and many church friends.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA Sunday, June 17th from noon to 2 PM and 6 to 8 PM and on Monday, June 18th until 11 AM the hour of service with Rev. Timothy Rogers officiating. Interment will be in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
