Barbara Jean (Aleksy) Abram

Barbara Jean (Aleksy) Abram, 66, of Uniontown, PA, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, 2019, at her residence, with loving family by her side. She was born February 2, 1953 in Uniontown.

Preceding her in death was her mother Helen Phoebe (Merryman) Aleksy.

Barbara was a graduate of the Uniontown Senior High School and was Administrative Assistant at Zubchevich Psychiatric for 28 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a terrific cook.

Surviving are her loving husband of 49 years, Samuel D. Abram, daughter, Marjorie B. Loukota and husband Ed of Uniontown, son Samuel D. Abram, Jr. and wife Katy of Lebanon, PA, 6 grandchildren: Alyssa Loukota, Ryan T. DeCarlo, Madeleine Abram, Samuel A. Abram, Madison Loukota and Mya Loukota, an aunt, Ruth Ann Kudlac of Brownsville, PA, and an aunt Sue Smith of Texas, very close friends: Marylou Drzazgowski, Judy and Frank Rushnock, Loretta Milligan and Joan Kapila and extended family and friends.

Friends will be received in the Shell Funeral Home, Inc., 164 S. Mt. Vernon Ave., Uniontown, PA on Tuesday, May 21st, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM and on Wednesday, May 22nd, until 11 AM the hour of service with Pastor Amory Merriman officiating. Interment will follow in Sylvan Heights Cemetery.
